For the entire month of October Exeter businesses and organizations will line the charming streets of Exeter with artistic, creative and lively scarecrows that will be sure to delight locals and visitors alike. This Exeter traditon is a great way to get involved in the community. Scarecrows are judged by popular vote of visitors and locals. Voting takes place during the month of October. Exeter's 103rd Annual Fall Festival, "Cowboy Boots and Hometown Roots" will be on Saturday, October 8th at the Exeter City Park, Chestnut and E Sts., from 7 am to 4 pm.
There will be a 10k run and two mile walk at the City Park, with registration beginning at 6 am. The race will start at 7 am. For more information regarding the run and walk, call (559) 592-5262.
There will be a pancake breakfast at 7 am at the arbor on Cedar Street at Exeter City Park. The Exeter Kiwanis Club sponsors the Annual Pancake Breakfast.
