Greetings Valued Members –

While the world is adjusting to a new set of circumstances, the Exeter Chamber of Commerce is steadfast in supporting the needs of our local businesses. We are working diligently to support our business community, here in our beautiful area. As such, we have launched a number of COVID-19 related initiatives to help support you and bring the most current information.

We are excited to bring you one initiative in particular, the Buy Local Exeter CA Facebook Group. #BuyLocalExeterCA This campaign has been created as a way to share information on how to support our local businesses that have found themselves maneuvering through the many channels of executive order mandates. This Group will be used to facilitate the flow of information regarding take out and delivery options in our area. It is meant to be a live document and we ask that, as Exeter Chamber members, you help us keep it up to date, add to it and share it! Not yet a Chamber member? We would love to connect with you – just a $25 down payment, with a payment plan commitment, will secure your membership and give you access to our many services.

Remember we are all in this together and must support each other during this time of crisis. Thank you for joining this movement and thank you for buying local!

Tips on Conducting Business

Tips to protect yourself from the Corona Virus

Wash Your Hands
You can never wash your hands enough. Use soap and water and wash for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

Stay Home if You’re Sick
Encourage your employees and family members to stay at home if they are experiencing a fever, cough or have trouble breathing. If you believe you need medical attention, call your doctor or clinic and inform them of your recent travel and symptoms.

Use Disinfectant
Wipe down any surfaces, especially frequently-touched objects such as your cell phone and computer keyboard.

Keep Your Distance
Stay at least 3 feet between you and anyone who might be coughing or sneezing. Try to remain at least an arm and a half length away from others.

Host online meetings

Sometimes its better to have “face-to-face” connections. Did you know you can conduct online meetings, many for free?

If you’re a member of Facebook, you can use the messaging feature to conduct video chats. Instructions can be accessed here.

Live sessions can also be held on Google Hangouts. All that’s required is a free gmail account.

Microsoft is offering its Teams software for free until July.

Check first before you go

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said that all public gatherings should be canceled until at least the end of April due to the spread of the coronavirus. Before you go to an event or church gathering make sure you check their websites for any changes in plans. Use our directory to locate their websites.
