Handweavers of the Valley is a non-profit organization of handweavers and spinners with over 100 members. That membership spans a large portion of central California’s San Joaquin Valley, not only in Exeter but also from Bakersfield to Squaw Valley, Three Rivers, Visalia, Hanford and Lemoore. Many of the members are also from the Porterville and Springville area.
Their (usually) monthly meetings as well as their annual Harvest of Handwovens (Show & Sale) are held at the Exeter Veteran’s Memorial Building. Special workshops held at various times of the year have been presented at the Exeter Courthouse Gallery building. This group considers Exeter their home base.
