Exeter Summer Reading Program

Reading by Design: Exeter Branch Library’s Summer Reading Program

The Exeter Branch of the Tulare County Library offers its annual Summer Reading Program from June 13 through July 21. The theme this summer is Reading by Design. Children (ages 3-12), teens (13-18) and adults (18 and up) all have programs designed just for them.

Pre-registration starts Tuesday, June 6. Participants are eligible for prizes for reading. Children earn weekly prizes for reading every day for five days. Teens can take home prizes such as gift cards and adults receive a raffle ticket for prizes once a bingo card is completed.

Special educational and entertaining events take place over the summer as well. Children’s can enjoy Reptile Ron’s Animal Presentation, Thursday, June 22 at 10:30 am, and Wild Child Adventures (Bubbles), Thursday, June 29 at 10:30 am. Adult events include a Spinning Wheel Demonstration on Tuesday, June 13, 6:30 pm -7:30 pm given by Handweavers of the Valley, and a Cooking Class with Chef Jeff on Tuesday, June 20, 6:30 pm -7:30 pm. All events take place at the Exeter Branch Library.
