Located in the Carnegie Building on the corner of Chestnut & E Streets, the Exeter Senior center provides classes, entertainment and a gathering space for Exeter’s vibrant senior community.The center is operated under CSET which provides meals, special programs, games, and opportunities to socialize. Points of Interest: The Exeter Senior Center is located in the Carnegie Building, which was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1990. The building was erected as part of a grant awarded to the City of Exeter by the Carnegie Foundation. The architect was A. Merrill Bowser. The building served as the city’s library from 1916 until 1975 when a new library was constructed a few hundred feet north east of the building.
