Ambassador Committee

The Chamber Ambassadors are the goodwill arm of the Exeter Chamber. Become a Chamber Ambassador and get your company additional recognition among the membership and community. Attend an Ambassador Lunch meeting on the second Thursday of each month at noon, location varies at member restaurants. Come learn how our Chamber volunteers are making a difference in our community.

Board Room Usage

Chamber members may reserve the Board Room, free-of-charge, on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Board Room may be used for meeting and training purposes. Refreshments and meals may be brought in, and we encourage our members to utilize other member’s services.

Bulk Mail Savings

Members may utilize the Chamber bulk mail permit for promotional mailings. We encourage you to take advantage of the discounted postage rate. Please see the Chamber staff prior to printing your mailing. Some stipulations will apply.

Certificates of Origin

A free service for Exeter Chamber Member Businesses for the first fifty (50) certificates in a calendar year. For each additional certificate processed in the same calendar year, there will be a charge of $15 per use of stamp. Non-member $25 per certificate (or use of stamp).

Email is a great way to share your news!
To utilize this FREE service: send us your digital flyer or write up a simple email promoting a sale/event/news, and email it to us at chamber@exeterchamber.com. Or, if you like, use the form below to submit your news. It will be sent out on our 300+ Email list.

Gift Certificate Program

The Chamber offers Gift Certificates for 60+ participating member businesses. This is a very successful program and is heavily utilized. The best part is it costs you absolutely nothing and keeps business local.

Gift certificates are purchased from the Chamber (available in amounts of $5, $10 and $20). They are used just like cash at any of the participating Exeter Chamber members. Merchants turn the redeemed certificated into the Chamber office for a reimbursement check of equal value.

Internet/Website Promotion

The Exeter Chamber of Commerce Website, www.exeterchamber.com, is a great resource for people seeking information about the Exeter community and services and draws thousands of visitors every month. The website keeps a current calendar of annual events and a member directory. Our members receive a free alphabetical, categorical listing and a free direct link to your own Website. If you haven’t done so already, we urge you to sign up now to manage your listing.

Labels

Send your message, invitation, promotion or event exclusively to your fellow Chamber members with our membership mailing list on labels. New members will receive their first set of labels free (upon request), a $10 value.

Member News

We encourage you to send us information on your promotions, events, sales, etc. It is FREE to share your “Member News” in our monthly newsletter, printed calendar, and online website calendar. Please email your information to Chamber@ExeterChamber.com before the 15th of the month prior to run.

Member-to-Member Discounts

Chamber members are encouraged to offer exclusive discounts or special promotions to other Chamber members to promote your business and strengthen membership unity. There is no fee for members to participate in this program.

Membership Directory/Experience Exeter Magazine

Released annually, our magazine includes community information valuable to new residents and visitors, as well as an alphabetical, by type of business membership directory. This magazine is distributed to all members and visitors by the Chamber and at all community events. The magazine is free and contains information about the local community, murals, annual events, and includes a shopping/dining/what to see and do guide. Additional advertising opportunities, in this publication, are available to members.

Mixers

We invite and encourage you to attend our monthly Mixers. They are typically held on the second Thursday of each month from 5 – 6:30 p.m., location varies at local Chamber member businesses. Interested in hosting a mixer?
Call the Chamber today to schedule a date. Invite your customers/friends/family, provide refreshments and the Chamber will do the rest.

Newsletter/Chamber Chatter

Get the Edge on Your Competition – Read your Chamber Chatter Newsletter and catch up on the issues and news that affect your business. See Newsletter Inserts and Member News for additional Newsletter promotional opportunities. Newsletter Inserts are due to the Chamber by the 20th of the month, and Member News is due before the 15th of the month prior.

Newsletter Inserts

Your company may submit fliers for the monthly newsletter/Chamber.
Simply choose a specific issue (as often as you would like) and print 375 fliers. Your fliers should be size 8 1/2 x 11, feel free to print on both sides. The cost to insert a flier is $35 (non-profit is $30). Every new Chamber member receives a coupon for one free flier insert.

Publications/Lists/Information/Copies

Brochure Rack Display
Members are encouraged to display, free-of-charge, promotional materials such as: business cards, brochures, events, and announcements at the Chamber. The office is frequently visited by locals and visitors seeking information.

Members

Black and White copies = .10¢ each (.05¢ each if you provide your own paper). Color = .50¢ each (40¢ if you provide your own paper).

Non-Members

Black and White copies = .25¢ each (.15¢ if you provide your own paper). Color copies = .50¢ each (.40¢ if you provide your own paper).
All Faxes = $1.00 per sheet.

Referrals

The Chamber is often the first place locals, tourists, and new arrivals inquire about local information. We only refer our Chamber members, and do so on a daily basis. We invite Chamber members to also refer other chamber businesses. Our Chamber encourages everyone to remember the importance of “SHOP LOCAL”.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

For no fee at all, the Chamber staff will help you coordinate a ribbon cutting ceremony to showcase your business. Business people, the local newspaper, ambassadors, and other Chamber members will come together. Whether you are a new member, or have been one for a long time, we would be more than happy to help you publicize your important event.

With over 3,000 “Likes”, the Chamber Facebook page is a great way to promote your business, organization and/or event. Be sure to “Like” our page and invite the Chamber to share your information. Only member posts are shared. You will also find the Chamber on Linkedin, Twitter, and Instagram.

How Do I Make a Payment?

To renew your subscription, make an initial payment, or to upgrade your membership please follow the instructions below.

If you do not have an account

  • Go to exeterchamber.com/join/
  • Input a desired username
  • Input your password (must be able to receive instructional email)
  • Select the type of Business you want to add (4-6 employees, etc)
  • Select whether you want the payment to be PayPal (One-time) or PayPal (recurring)
  • Input the Security Code
  • Click Sign up
  • You'll be taken to a PayPal page. If you have a PayPal account, login. If you would like to pay with a credit card and/or create a PayPal Account, click the Create an Account button. You will be asked to enter your credit card information and, if desired, a PayPal username and password.
  • Once you make a payment, you will be returned to the website. You will receive an email regarding your account.
  • If you already have an account on the website
    Login to the website by clicking on the login tab located on the right side of any ExeterChamber.com webpage.
  • Click on the login button again and locate the Account tab
  • You will be taken to your Profile Page
  • To renew, Scroll down the page and select the Renew Account
  • To upgrade, Scroll down the page and select the account type you'd like to upgrade to (4-6 employees, etc) and select Upgrade Account
  • You'll be taken to a PayPal Page. If you have a PayPal account, login. If you would like to pay with a credit card and/or create a PayPal Account, click the Create an Account button. You will be asked to enter your credit card information and, if desired, a PayPal username and password.
  • Once you make a payment, you will be returned to the website. It may take a few minutes before your status changes.

How Do I Claim My Listing?

Locate your directory listing and scroll down to the Claim Your Listing button (If it's already claimed the button will not be shown)

  • Click the Claim Listing Button
  • Input your email address (Must be accessible because instructions will be sent to this address).
  • Input any desired Username.
  • Type in the Security Code as it appears.

You will be asked to confirm that you want to claim the item. An email will be sent to allow you to setup your account and password. After we determine you are the rightful owner of the listing, we will give you access to your account. (Please be patient, as this has to be done manually)
Once you receive confirmation, you will be able to edit your listing.

How do I request a ribbon cutting event?

Holding a ribbon cutting ceremony is a great way to introduce your business to the Exeter community.

  • Ribbon Cutting requests should be sent to the chamber at chamber@exeterchamber.com
  • If the Chamber is performing a ribbon cutting for a non-member there is a fee.
  • Requesting parties are asked to suggest 3 separate dates.
  • Cuttings will be confirmed and posted to the Chamber calendar.
  • Announcements and other marketing information will be released by the Chamber.

A few more tips

  • Prepare a statement to send as a news release or flyer that will be distributed by the Chamber.
  • Provide light refreshments for your guests
  • Prepare a short statement about your business for the ceremony
  • Promote your event with your contact list.
