January Issue of the Exeter Chamber of Commerce Newsletter includes dates to remember for January, tips on extending sales past the holiday season, the appointment of Tina Rice as the Chamber’s Chief Executive Officer, member renewals and new members.
The focus of the December Newsletter was Promoting our Small Businesses during the Holiday Season. Shop Small isn’t just for one day of the year, but a whole season for celebrating the offerings of Exeter’s small business. In keeping with the holiday, we filled the month with special events promoting Downtown Exeter.
In November, we stopped to recognize the full staff that have been added to the Chamber. Tina Rice welcomed Office Assistant and Newsletter Editor Rachel Newman and Marketing and Social Media Manager Sarah Peltzer. We also spread the news about our upcoming Downtown Exeter Christmas Open House plans.
Exeter Fall Festival filled the chamber newsletter with a month of special events from the Scarecrow Competition to Family Fun Nights. Other local news included member happenings such as the Ambassador Lunch and Chamber Mixer, and a look back at Miss Exeter from 40 years ago.
New Interim Executive Director Tina Rice introduces herself and her plans for supporting local businesses. She also introduced the new office manager Rachel Newman, who had previously been creating the newsletters for the Chamber
In August we appointed Tina Rice as interim executive director of the Exeter Chamber who was replacing Director Sandy Blankenship who retired at the end of January. The issue also included events and member news.
In July, we share member news which is just one of the benefits of being a member of the Chamber. One of our favorite local events has returned to Exeter, the Exeter Lions Club 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. We also honored the Chamber Ambassadors for all they do.
