Lights, Camera, Scarecrow!
Bring a little movie magic to Exeter! This year’s Scarecrow Contest is heading to the movies, and we can’t wait to see what you create.
Businesses, organizations, families, groups, and individuals are invited to create a scarecrow inspired by a favorite movie, movie character, or the magic of the movies. Choose something classic, funny, spooky, animated, or adventurous—or share your own creative take on the theme.
Scarecrows will be on display throughout October, giving everyone a chance to explore Exeter and enjoy the creativity around town.
Contest dates: October 1–31, 2026
Entry deadline: Friday, October 9, 2026
Entry fee: $10
Voting begins October 10
To participate, complete the entry form and submit your $10 entry fee by October 9.
